Quick Answer
Grab defeated creatures and throw their bodies into the crusher, also called the Grinder. Press E at the grab prompt, or use the Industrial Vacuum to collect and unload bodies together. When bodies pile up, reduce processing time through the upgrade tree or unlock another machine.
Where do you put bodies after killing creatures?
Put bodies into the crusher to process them.
The crusher and Grinder names refer to the same body-processing machine: an open metal hopper with yellow hazard stripes.
Grab a body
Approach a defeated creature. Press E when the grab prompt appears.
Feed the Grinder
Carry it to the Grinder. The on-screen prompts show E to drop, Q to rotate, and a mouse button to throw.
You can do this by hand before buying the Industrial Vacuum. Start with this method if you only need to clear a few.
How do you use the Industrial Vacuum for bodies?
Use the Industrial Vacuum to collect bodies together, then launch them into the Grinder.
The Industrial Vacuum costs $40 to unlock. It lets you collect objects without picking them up individually.
Equip and collect
On PC, press F to equip the Industrial Vacuum. Hold right-click to collect cargo.
Select the right cargo
Use the mouse wheel to change stored cargo types. Check the white selection arrow on your cargo display before unloading.
Unload into the Grinder
With that cargo selected, use left-click to launch them into the machine. You can collect several and unload them together.
Check your selected cargo before firing. Bodies belong in the Grinder; finished cans go to the selling tube.
When should you upgrade processing speed or buy another Grinder?
Reduce processing time when your Grinder stays busy and a queue keeps forming.
A Grinder processes creatures one at a time. The early upgrade tree offers reduced machine processing time. Consider that upgrade first when your existing machine is consistently occupied.
Buy another Grinder when you have enough bodies to keep both machines working. Inspect your current machine before spending: extra capacity will not increase output while your existing Grinder sits idle.
| What you see | What you should prioritize |
|---|---|
| Your Grinder finishes early | More incoming creatures or better can value |
| Your Grinder runs continuously, with a queue | Faster processing or another Grinder |
| Several Grinders stay busy, with the queue still growing | More processing capacity before another combat upgrade |
| Production finishes, but cans remain unsold | Transporting and selling your finished cans |
You need faster processing when the machine cannot keep up, even after the vacuum makes collection quicker. Exact upgrade names and prices will be added as they are confirmed.
If finished cans are your next blockage, use the Can 'Em All factory guide to follow the production flow.
Next comes selling your cans. To speed up processing, check the skill tree guide.
